Ambassador Program

Scott Edwards Photography is seeking Ambassadors for the Spring Season. We’re looking for dedicated dancers who want to build their dance portfolio and actively participate in a safe and supportive community of other positive, creative artists.
What’s in it for you?
The Scott Edwards Photography Ambassador Program is centered around monthly photo sessions in a variety of themes and styles, both in-studio and on location throughout the LA/OC region. Both group and individual photo time may be offered. We will offer a minimum of six sessions during the Ambassador Season (January to June) and Ambassadors are expected to attend at least three.
These sessions provide you with the opportunity to
Build up your social media and portfolio content. Dancers will receive at least 5 digital images from each session they attend.
Collaborate in a safe and supportive community for creative exploration. The ambassador team is not about comparison but encouragement. Dancers bring a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and strengths to the team.
Increase your confidence as a young artist. Great dance photos are essential as you progress through your dance career. We will build important skills for looking great in your photos.
Network with other young dancers who are dedicated to growing as artists. This is a great way to make connections that can lead to other creative opportunities.

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
During my 35 years serving students in the Fullerton area as a high school teacher and administrator, I gained a wealth of experience with young people. Photography has brought me back to my own creative roots as I serve young artists.
I specialize in dance and performing arts photography and partner with both professional and pre-professional artists to create images that help them take the next step on their creative journeys. Recent clients include dancers from professional companies, including Los Angeles Ballet and American Contemporary Ballet, and I am trusted by top dance and performing arts programs, such as Ballet Project OC, Laguna Ballet Theatre, Los Alamitos Ballet, and the Idyllwild Arts Academy.
Eligibility
All ambassadors must be:
Ages 12 - college, located in the Southern California region
A dedicated and accomplished dancer. You don’t need to be looking to dance professionally. You just need to love it!
Have strong technique relative to their genre. Classical training is a plus!
Strong, with refined artistry and confidence. If on pointe, the dancer must feel confident and display strong ankles.
Soloist level (relative to one’s age and level placement). Dancers may be asked for video footage.
Open, creative, focused, easy to work with, and willing to learn!
Have a variety of experiences in dance.
Have an active social media presence. Younger dancers can post from a parent’s account if they don’t have their own.
Committed to Scott Edwards Photography. You can shoot with other photographers (in fact, I encourage it), but you you may not serve as an ambassador to another photographer while part of our program. You may be an ambassador for other dance vendors, including apparel companies and dancewear shops.

What do we expect of our ambassadors?
The success of the program depends on the active participation of all ambassadors. This commitment includes:
Staying active throughout the entire season, which runs from January through June 2026.
Participation in at least 3 out of 6 of the monthly shoots. You are welcome to participate in all!
Make 5 posts during the ambassador season. Parents of younger dancers without their own social media accounts can post for them.
Maintaining professional standards—such as arriving on time and listening to and responding to coaching.
Demonstrating positive support of all dancers in the program, both during photo sessions and in online interactions. Bullying has no place in a positive ambassador team.
Program Fees
What does it cost to participate?
The Ambassador Program is great value for dancers looking to create content and develop their portfolios. Each ambassador will receive:
Access to up to 6 group photoshoots or mini sessions (up to $1000+ in value), including all rental and location fees for regularly scheduled ambassador sessions.
Scott Edwards Photography branded merchandise (up to $100 in value)
20% discount on any additional sessions they book outside of the program and an additional 20% in savings for each referral who books a session with Scott Edwards Photography
10% Discount on all other services and products offered by Scott Edwards Photography during ambassador’s season. Applies to dancer and dancer’s immediate family!
The total fee for all of this is $425—less than the regular cost of a full photo session. $125 will be collected at contract signing (end of December ) and the remainder will be due prior to the first team shoot (end of January).
All fees paid are non-refundable and may not be applied to any sessions beyond the end of the season.
